- During the shoot, I almost broke my leg on the gravel wearing my 7 inch Ferragamo heeels --- (they are sooo worth it though) Max was there to catch me, and my mom caught the recovery. This Charles Nolan coat is one of my faves, and just had the pleasure of meeting his 2 sisters at their shop in the meatpacking district. I love the store and everything in it. Bought a gold lamay hoodie, vintage barbie Christmas ornaments and my new mascot: Eve Kitten Doll
- You can’t see the Norma Kamali liquid leggings and turtleneck bodysuit, but they are under this super fly skydive suit. A good choice though since it wasn’t too bulky.
- Everyone knows I love me my lulu wear! Black capris and the shape jacket with my trusty Gucci fanny pack (for the handy devices they have for avoiding lines!) was perfect for this day at my favorite theme park ever! Hermes dogcollar leather ring dressed it up just in case we ran into the Queen Mum. On devon, my headband, RL tank top, Old Navy sweater, Hello Kitty skirt and Lelli Kelli shoes
- Love this crop tobacco leather jacket from Ginny Hilfiger, sent to me by my friend actor, singer and stylist George Brescia. The gold zipper was nice with the YSL gold Majorelle that I got at French Pharmacy in Indianapolis. Such a great store!
- The winter AAMD (Association of Art Museum Directors was held in Sarasota this year where it was uncharacteristically cold! So I ended up in a wool and velvet Cavalli military jacket with suede and leather Alexander Wang pants scored from Gilt--- In love with Alexander Wang. The coolest thing though was touring the Ringling Mansion where Mable Ringling used to live and I knew I was right when I felt a kindred spirit kind of relationship with her and then found out that she was born exactly 100 years before me, yep, March 4, 1875 in Ohio too!
- Casual Christmas morning in cotton Gap turtleneck, lulu pants, Prada flats and J. Crew headband over clip in extensions (cause I was just feeling festive!) Behind are new sequin stockings from Target--- love. Devon in Gap hug me jammies and Chase are also in Gap + Old Navy...
- Love this mohair Loewe scarf that Max picked me up in Spain--- how nice. He is getting so good! I was impressed. It has a really nice leather detail too. Paired very randomly Quicksilver sweats from NZ, Prada jacket and snow boots from Montana. I think the pigtails say I’m ready for anything. We dressed Tavio up in his leather jacket for some sledding too.
- Chase took over Steinways galleries of grand pianos and played classical and jazz pieces while Devon danced in her blue princess dress (see album for lots of shots of this) Leather jacket with my Fushia Etro fur “scarf” was perfect for breezy 57th street. Favorite boots for walking around NYC, Charles Jourdan patent boots. Love.
- This dress inspired this shoot for our Christmas Card at Miller House in Columbus Indiana. My idea was for sort of a Mad Men kind of a 50s feel.
- Brooke Virginia Sabre, daughter of most fabulous friend Lynn, is our goddaughter! What an honor--- Max and I headed to Minneapolis for her Christening and I went with this Ferragamo cashmere belted jacket (with fur for celebratory dinner over a D&G pencil dress, and sans fur over Marc Bouwer turtleneck dress for the ceremony) Lynn and husband John are godparents to our Devon, and we are holding on a ceremony to do it in Bhutan. What to wear for that...
- DC to meet our former manny Quinn and meet up with my GF Vivian. These over the knee boots have proven one of the best purchases in my life--- (bought them at Barneys 7 years ago!) They are sooo comfortable. We walked the entire mall, and every floor of the Hirshhorn (great pics of art in albums) and went out in heels that night too. ps. the Palomar hotel is a blast, and has Wii championships and cocktail hour every night at 5pm. Also dog friendly.
- McQueen tux jacket, seven jeans, Theory turtleneck and Hermes cuff were good for reconnecting with my heritage at Buckingham Palace!
- The first plane I have ever flown! Soooo fun I can’t even stand it. Gucci wool turtleneck and Kova & T leggings with some flat riding boots that I got on Madison Avenue in the late 90s. Cavalli sunglasses were good too for being closer to the sun. The jacket belongs to my adorable instucter, Roderick--- who let me land the plane on my own, and yes, with Chase in the backseat! Now I am saving not only for fall shoes, but for a plane.
- Okay, so these yellow rubber suits were not the most fresh smelling, but they did keep the pounds of mud from reaching the cashmere sweater beneath! Digger, our dirt bike instructor had a much cooler red and white one that looked awesome on him!
- What does one wear to jump off the first bungy site in the world? I went with my trusty Courreges jacket, Galliano jeans, Dolce Gabbana belt and Patagonia hiking boots acquired in Queenstown. I told the people at AJ Hackett Bungy that I thought it would be fun idea to rent costumes to the thousands of bungy jumpers so they could be photographed have their videos made not just looking like some crazy guy jumping off a bridge, but Batman! cool right?
- Flyfishing was pretty fun, but early and cold. So fur-trimmed Prada that I got about a decade ago was great. Chase and the super-fly fishing guide continued while I chilled at the bait shop with the locals.
- Dressing for extreme sports in NZ took some thought. McQueen leather jacket, Theory stretch pants and Marc Jacobs boots were great for the 20 hours of air travel, Eurocopter landings on glacier, beach and paragliding into Queenstown to kick off the trip.
- Devon on her 4th Birthday!
Where you go is one thing, but what you choose to wear there is another! Here are some of my fave places and what I wore to the party!
